About the Founders Cohort

The Founders Cohort is the inaugural launch of the Better Together Coaching Program — a four-week, team-based design experience for educators who want to move beyond delivering content and start creating collaborative learning experiences that truly engage their students.

In this guided coaching format, you’ll learn by doing: mapping outcomes through backward design, building structured pre-work, designing assessments and peer review processes, and showcasing a complete, ready-to-teach module you can bring directly into your classroom or training program.

As a founding participant, you’ll contribute feedback and reflections that help refine the course for future cohorts. In appreciation, you’ll receive:

A special Founders Rate of $259 for full participation and feedback in the four-week program.
Lifetime eligibility to repeat this same four-week course in any future session at the same Founders Rate of $259 — no matter how tuition changes.
An invitation to the Founders Circle, a professional community of early collaborators who shape the direction of future offerings.
Early access for one year to any new templates, updates, or resources developed from this pilot.

Live 60-minute group sessions guided by Sharilyn Rennie, where you’ll share progress, exchange ideas, and receive personalized feedback on your evolving design.

Guided Design Templates & Worksheets

Editable templates for backward design mapping, pre-work planning, peer feedback structures, and module reflection — all tools you can reuse in your own courses.

The Community

Collaborative Learning Community

Join a small, supportive cohort of 5–7 educators from diverse disciplines. Build community, share challenges, and grow together through authentic collaboration.

Founders Circle Membership

As a founding member, you’ll receive a locked in founders price for all 4-week coures, a $250 credit for summer intensives and an invitation to the Founders Circle, where your insights will shape the next phase of Better Together Coaching.

What You’ll Experience

Week 1 — Backward Design Foundations

Start with the end in mind. Learn to align outcomes, assessments, and activities so every element of your course serves a shared purpose. Draft your Backward Design Blueprint and see how clarity transforms creativity.

Week 2 — Pre-Work & Assessment Planning

Prepare students before they arrive. Design meaningful pre-work that builds curiosity and accountability, and create formative assessments that measure readiness without increasing grading load.

Week 3 — Application & Peer Learning

Turn content into collaboration. Design authentic, team-based learning experiences using TBL frameworks. Practice peer evaluation methods that strengthen engagement and ownership.

Week 4 — Showcase & Reflect

Bring your design to life. Present your completed collaborative learning module, share ideas with peers, and receive feedback that helps refine your next course or program design.
